To be honest...yes, I have given it a thought...but I realized a long time ago that life changes so rapidly that one day it is raining and the next day it is 85 degrees and sunny outside... and vice versa...I have wanted to just go to sleep and never wake up...but when I did...it was a completely different day then the last one and I was very glad to be alive again...My sister committed suicide when I was a kid and I have always thought it was a very permanent solution to a very temporary situation!

Throughout my life I've had those feelings, and I did make an attempt around 15 years ago. That said - there are still times that I think about it. Mostly I realize that it's just a temporary feeling and that it's not something I can ever really do (too many people would be hurt), but I actually think about what I'd do and how I'd need to prepare for it (loose ends to be tied up) and I always find that by the time I figure everything out, my frame of mind is much improved. I'm not sure why - maybe it's because I realize that if I can figure out all the details of a suicide, I can also solve whatever problem is currently depressing me.

The last time that I felt that I was in danger of committing suicide I let my therapist know and he admitted me to the hospital. I have daughters and I would never do that to them. I would not want them to spend the rest of their life wondering if there was something that they should have done that would have changed things. Also the children of people who commit suicide tend to do the same later in their lives and I won't leave them that legacy.

Having kids help to put you there (in term of the divorse industry, vistor father family court and women in general) and kids are the thing that gets you out of those thoughts.

In gereral before meeting a woman and having kids I didnt have those thoughts, so I cant really say what I would do to get away from those thoughts without having something grander than myself.

sometimes when i get so discouraged and frustrated with my life and the situation i am in, thoughts like life isn't worth living anymore or its better to die than suffer, enters my mind.. however, its not really close to suicide because i haven't thought of ending my life personally.. nevertheles, whenever i feel like "dying", i write it down in a piece of paper or in my diary.. its a good outlet for emotions (esp when im shy to share it to my friends).. im really into songs, so everytime i feel down, i sing a song, i go to the spa, or i indulge in food- sweets and icecream does it.. lol.. i do things that can brighten me up. even if it'll cost me more, at least, it helps..

I feel like that a lot, but I am 100% certain that will NOT happen. So I just imagine myself doing it, but not actually doing it.

Yes, quite often. It's hard.

I try and stay optimistic, and talk to people who improve my mood.

If I'm really upset and considering it, I'll sit/lie on my hands, that way I can't do anything to hurt myself.

Good luck.
