The Passion facade contains approx. 100 sculpted figures, the central and dominating portal is the act of cruxifixion. It was sculpted by Josep M. Subirachs (after Gaudi was run over by a bus).
I am not sure which figure you are referring to, but it may be the one at the feet of the cruxified Jesus if so, and I quote, it may be the figure " with a furrowed brow, perhaps suggesting the agnostic's anguished search for certainty. It is thought to be a self-portrait of (the man who sculpted it) Subirachs, characterized by the sculptor's giant hand and an "S" on his right arm. "
