There are several good herbs and natural remedies for anxiety. The best is Kava Kava. It may be hard to find. It works on the GABA receptors in the brain which blocks the absorption of stress and anxiety hormones.
B-Complex vitamins taken daily also help anxiety. Other herbs that may help are Hops, Passion flower, Scullcap and Valerian. Another less known herbal product is Relora. It is a little more expensive but it works almost as well as Kava.
Another thing to try is changing your diet. Excessive caffeine use will make anxiety worse.
Hope you feel better.

I have read some litterature about panic attacks. But they allways seem to have a more scientific approach and that is nothing I need in my struggle to survive those horrible panic attacks. This is a "hand on" and very practical book. I felt it was written to me. I am sure that you are going to feel the same.
Joe Barry writes exactly how I think. The examples are perfectly described. And the method is genius. I recommend this book and thanks Joe Barry for writing it. It changes your life

There's a very good book called "The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook," by Bourne.
If you're looking for a natural remedy, try valerian.

Though I do not disagree with a good walk is a great way to relieve anxiety sometimes though exercise is not an option. I have recently gone through this myself and found that buying a meditation gem and meditating when I can but just holding the rock and running my thumb over its smooth cold surface calmed me. Fine yourself a good quality gem dealer and really think about what your looking for as you go through the shop you will find the stone that will help you.

There are a lot of natural remedies out there, I suggest SAM-e, any B vitamin, magnesium, vitamin C, Calcuim. A combination of these vitamins over a period of time can greatly reduce your anxiety, but they only work for MILD anxiety. If you are suffering from extreme and persistent anxiety I suggest seeing a doctor.

Look for some therapists that specialize in biofeedback, and self hypnosis.
Should only take a couple visits to learn this.
It works 100% ..
ask for recommendations around your area. Find a good one.

Practise deep breathing at a regular time and in a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed. Loosen or remove any tight clothes you have on, such as shoes or jackets. Make yourself feel completely comfortable. Negative beliefs, or worrying about worrying, add to your anxiety and keep worry going. But positive beliefs about worrying can be just as damaging. It’s tough to break the worry habit if you believe that your worrying protects you. In order to stop worry and anxiety for good, you must give up your belief that worrying serves a positive purpose. Once you realize that worrying is the problem, not the solution, you can regain control of your worried mind.

For someeople exercise may work and i have heard of that before for myself it only makes it worse. for some reading helps and in doing so there are some books that actually teach u about anxiety disorders and srta teaches u of how to deal with it at same time of helping u with it. But again didnt work for me I hate reading so it made it worse. I am on medication called Effexor XR if you anaxiety condition worsens or if it is out of hand speak with your dr, axiety can lead to anxiety attachs , which can lead to hear attachs . so not to scare you but take it serious, and if you need medication dont be embarssed to do so. trust me you arent alone. but if your condition is minor then i woulr consider trying things such as excersize , involve ur self in daily activities that u enjoy doing whihc keeps u busy and doesnt annoy you in doing so. makes u feel awarded and proud. Good Luck Hope this helps their is tons of medications available most insurances cover it. XAnax is one, Effexor Xr is really good for me. but speak with yoour doctor drugs have different effect on different individuals. Best of luck...
