No life is too short to wait for a crowd. You can't really talk at a concert, and even alone there are hundreds of people who like the same music as you so rock on...

There are certainly cheaper ways to hang out with your friends taking them to a concert that they aren't in to. I don't see where it would be weird to go by yourself.
I saw the HFStival back in May 2002 in Washington DC. This an annual all-day event at an outdoor festival at RFK Stadium which is an outdoor sports venue where the Redskins used to play football, and the Nationals currently play baseball. There weren't many bands that I had much interest, I primarily went to see Our Lady Peace, my favorite band at the time.
When it was the band's turn to go on stage, I had decided to seperate from my brother and decided to go join the crowd gathering around the stage. It wasn't a large crowd so I got up pretty close to the center of the stage. I remember the band started off with a new song that they had just released called "Whatever."
I being a big fan all ready knew it word for word, it was a song written for the wrestler Chris Benoit (Nothing against the band, but I don't listen to the song anymore). So I was singing along with lead singer Raine Maida, but NOONE else around me was, it was a bit of an akward feeling. I don't think I sang the entire song.
However after "Whatever" Our Lady Peace broke into their more popular songs and I was right there with the rest of the crowd singing along at the top of my lungs having fun. I didn't really talk to anyone, first off I was too busy singing and enjoying my first experience seeing the band live, secondly it was too loud in front of the stage to try and hold a lengthly conversation with anyone.
So with that I say from just go and enjoy yourself, if you like the band you will lose yourself in the music just like everyone else there.

i understand this is going to sound lame to assert this, yet whilst it can not be weird and wonderful, it ought to risky. i'm no longer attempting to antagonize or offend you. it would be hypocritical of me to point judgment when I went 9 hours into yet another state for Rockstar Uproar on my own. no longer something undesirable occurred to me, yet i glance back and it does happen that my decision replaced into very poorly chosen. possibly you're thirty-5 or perhaps you're 13, regardless, it does not harm to have somebody to bypass with. yet, in case you do finally end up occurring my own, you will no longer look weird and wonderful. good success along with your decision and have exciting. i might advise seeing Rammstein faster quite then later, through fact i've got examine the until finally Lindemann, lead singer, is pondering retiring while he hits fifty. he's 40-seven now.

that's not being a fool. its better than taking friends who do not like the music, that's when you get the, is thing over yet, can we go home down, or sit thru the whole thing with their arms folded across their chest. I have gone to one by myself and have met some really cool people.

I've never thought it strange to go to any event alone if you want to see it and no one else you know does. Concerts, movies, sporting events, fashion shows, you name it, if you want to go, then go for it.
