Let's do this guys. Dennis Kucinich's appearance in Syria is treason. Does anyone know the legal procedures to begin trying him? Do we need to get some organization to hire a lawyer, can we personally hire some sort of lawyer, etc? If so, what type?

Or...do we have to do the "call your congressman" crap? Cause if so, that basically means "forget it."

“Congressmen who willfully take actions during wartime that damage morale and undermine the military are saboteurs and should be arrested, exiled, or hanged.” - Abraham Lincoln

Apparently most of those that have answered your question have no idea what you are talking about. Certainly going to Syria is not the issue, however, making statements on Syrian Television that the Iraq war is illegal and is wrong and that the United States should pay retribution to the Iraqi citizens. Kucinich, in my opinion is guilty of treason. The citizens of the state of Ohio should place him on recall, the Congress should file impeachment charges against him.

I have supplied a link so that anyone that wants to hear what was said may do so, but I expect the few will listen and those that do will say that he didn't do anything wrong.

Edit to Jim C:

here is the definition of "Treason"

1. Violation of allegiance toward one's country or sovereign, especially the betrayal of one's country by waging war against it or by consciously and purposely acting to aid its enemies.
2. A betrayal of trust or confidence.

Crabby Blind Guy, free speech does not include remarks that are treason, Yelling FIRE in a theater when there is no fire is not free speech, now if he had started this whole thing with the simple remark of "In my opinion" yada yada yada then it would be free speech

He was not allowed to discuss forieng policy. That is an act of treason. Sure, he can go where ever he likes but he cannot do and say what ever he likes.

The guy is a slime ball and I hope his voters relize it. He is anti American. He is not elected by the people of the USA and has no right to speak for us. He is not appointed representive of the USA. He represents a very small part.

I would personally love kick his rear end.

Are we at War with Syria? I don't think so. We are at War With No One. There is no declaration of war against any state, entity or Government. So how can you call it treason?

Cheney went to pakistan and that is where OBL is supposedly hiding. I guess he is guilty of Treason? Let's get the paper work started on Cheney first.

They have stated that we are at war against terror, and the Boss of the terrorist org. that we are supposedly fighting is being safe harbored in Pakistan. So Cheney fit's the Bill Better!

Go ahead, Draw up the papers!

Sorry. He had State Dep't clearance to go to Syria or anywhere else he wanted. They would have told him otherwise, and did not. What he did do was to embarrass our President, as if further embarrassment were possible. As it stands, he probably did a certain amount of good.

None. We aren't at war with Syria. Several members of Congress have visted there, from both parties,. None are guilty of treason.

Americans--all Americans--have the right to express their opinions--at all times.

America is a free country. If you don't like that, leave.
