I think you have three really good starting pitchers in Halladay, Burnett, and Marcum. Your line up is decent...Wells just had "one of those years". Ryan can rebound form injury next year...
The main problem is that with the Sox and Yanks, your team is just going to have to do more...get a great set-up guy. Get at least one big name free agent. Frank Thomas is ok, he's just turning 40...he'll need to be replaced. I like Overbay, but he was hurt all year.
Until that happens, third place looks like a lock for a few more years...

Halladay, Burnett, Litsch, McGregor, BJ Ryan and Troy Glaus when they're healthy, Rios, Wells, Hill, Zaun. They have not got a bad team. They showed that last year by finishing second. They had some tough breaks with injuries.
Rogers Centre is viewed as a house of horrors by Angel fans.

be positive my friend.....the Blue Jays have a team LOADED with potential.....
Vernon Wells needs to stay.....so does Alex Rios.....and their pitching staff isn't that bad either.....just that this year the Jays are having trouble staying healthy and its really messin up yall chance of pushing for a wild card spot....
the Blue Jays in the last 2-3 years have had one of the best offseason strategies in the Majors.....i don't see that streak being broken at all so im sure that they'll continue to beef up that pitching staff (mainly the bullpen) and try to get some new guys in there who can swing the bats a little bit......
They're on the right track....its just gonna take another year or two....

Better luck next year. Just look at it this way. They're not the Devil Rays. So life can't be THAT bad.
