husbands usually don't pay child support....
Ex-husbands do.
and its because the children are usually in the primary care of the mother and not the father and he still needs to contribute to the care of the child. If the child were to live with the father full time then the mother would have to pay child support.

because the courts are against fathers being the primary parents, so by default the husband has to pay. also, the courts dont care about the fathers and will tell you up front they dont care. i know a civil engineer who lives in public housing because he has to pay so much child support

Some do. If they are married and have a child by another relationship. It's just responsibility.

they pay child support when not married to the mother so she can afford to take care of the kid, but if he has full custody he doesn't pay her.

because some dads are not worth a crap and they need to do something for their children.children need stuff...like food,clothes...and if the kid is small enough they need diapers.
