I have heard that in the old Wild West, life could get pretty lonely on those long trail rides. I'd shake with you Tex, but I don't know where those cowhands have been.

I knew it would either be you or Marianne not Ginger who would finally get me to answer a question on here again!

Having grown up in the west and having many friends who grew up out on the farms and ranches of our great country, I feel it a duty to inform you people out there who have not experienced "rolls in the hay" with various barn yard animals what really took place when girlfriend Sally went out of town to visit her grandparents in Hooterville.

According to what I witnessed about these guys, (notice how I say "these guys", not "we", folks? I only kept score!), cattle (cows) are simply too large and unpredictable for one to enjoy a meaningful relationship with. Sure, they give great milk, but fooling around with them was not considered a good idea for much the same reason as sex on TV is disapproved of: one might fall off, and it is quite a drop. Thus, there is not much real "cowpokin'" unless one is really, really missing Sally, and has not yet passed out from polishing off his bottle of Ripple...

Nope, the favorite companion for the discerning COWPOKE was indeed the wooly members of the farmyard brigade - the sheep. Therefore, out here in the less civilized reaches of the west, if one is called "sheepish", it is actually quite a compliment because it means one can give good comfort in times of need, yet also can make quite a sweater. You simply can't bleat them! Enough said; this is a family site.

I wasn't aware that the word was out ! That was a highly kept secret in the "Old Wild Wild West"..
In modern times a "cow prod" is used to help the secret being kept..
and to relieve gas in a cow they do use gloves...gloves up to their elbows, so go ahead and shake hands if the gloves are off...

in some beastiality circles I'd say yeah...

But usually nickname for a cowboy, and those hands could have been doing many things that are gross, including mucking the stalls for the horses (cleaning feces)
