Usually the bigger the breasts, the bigger the nipples (I'm referring to the nipple and areola). It can also depend on your genes, ethnicity, and hormone levels. When you get pregnant, they will get even bigger. 2cm is not that big. Some women have them covering 1/4 of their breast. There is nothing you can do about it unless you decide to have surgery when you're older. If you ever get a breast reduction they can also reduce the size of your nipples and areolas. For now, don't worry too much about they way they look. As for the soreness, it's very common. Your nipples are probably just sensitive, which also varies from woman to woman. They can hurt more before your period, when it's cold, when they're irritated, or when you drink caffeine. Try to make sure you're wearing a bra that fits comfortably snug, so your nipples aren't rubbing too much.

I know how you are feeling right now because I had the same thoughts about my nipples when I was your age. In fact, I was embarrassed to have to change my clothes in the locker room because I was afraid that someone would see me and point this out!
The good news is that it sounds like you are completely normal and in fact, I can promise you that someday your nipples will be envied by those who are not so well endowed
;-)
As for the tenderness and soreness, if this is occurring more than a few days a month {like right around your period} then make a doctor's appointment just to be sure that everything is alright.

Good Luck,

That's normal. They are supposed to be sore because they are still developing. You are very young and just starting to go through "those changes" . Just know that breasts are all shapes and sizes which means so are nipples.

sweetie, you're 12, which means your breasts are still developing. if the hurt bothers you much, see your doctor (albeit a female doctor). Also some women do have big nipples so don't worry, it's normal too. And since you're developing, it'll fill out in no time to match your nipples.

Sounds completely normal for a girl your age. To answer your question, no your nipples will not reduce in size. However the rest of your breasts will probley get bigger so it will be okay. Don't worry about it! ;-)

Sounds normal. You haven't fully developed yet, so your nipples are growing first. It will all work out well, but you have to be patient.

hi, i had this "problem" theres nothing wrong but it does mean you will have big breasts when you get older, unfortunatly you will probably get teased alot, i developed in 7th grade and was told i stuffed my bra,, im in my 30s and trust me you will like them once you get older they are a pain at first.. all women have different size nipples... yours as just indicitive (and precursor) of developing nice size bosoms as you get older ;o) hope this helps.... (just for your own info when you get older for some reason men call these kind of nipples "playtex nipples" go figure)
