Because it is something we have to do, but do not like doing it. Hence necessary evil. I hate to sleep, but it is an necessary evil. I must sleep to regain energy, and if i do, i might miss someone..thing..errr umm. heheh Just jjoking sort of. heheh

To accomplish survival in this crazy world.Some people have to steal food to live.Then this would be a act of a sinner, but not necessary evil.It depends on the individual circumstances, If they cross the line ,And cause death,Then this is a act of evil.

Because there are rare circumstances in life when you must do something that is wrong, but only because not committing this sin would lead to a greater wrong.
For example: killing an intruder who has a knife at your child's throat. It's wrong to kill, but if you don't shoot the intruder your child will get it.

The issue is definitions again.
"Necessary" according to whom?
"Evil" according to whom?
Both terms have to be defined to make an act "moral", don't you think?

I don't believe this is always true! I think this saying is off and whoever came up with it was in a bad mood or something like that as I just don't think this follows the way it always is. Sorry.
