yeah, you can maybe see it if it's directed towards your face, but you would not be able to react in time.

in theory, you would be able to see the bullet before it hits you, because the bullet is not moving faster than the speed of light.

some bullets do, however, go faster than the speed of sound, so you would get hit before you heard the bang.

however, a bullet is very small, and it is moving very fast, so even if you do see it, you wouldn't really notice much of anything, maybe a faint streak of gray coming at you for a split second.

unless you had some superhuman abilities, you wouldn't be able to react in time.

the bullets that you see on TV in old war footage are not actually bullets, but tracer rounds, so people can see where their bullets are going.

The reaction time of a human being is about one -tenth of a second.
A bullet travels about 5,000 feet per second,if the gun was 5,000 feet away and you were watching it with a telescope you would see it for about nine-tenths of a second when it got 500 feet away your reaction time of one-tenth of a second would not allow you to see it before it killed you.
But you could have ducked when the gun first fired.

consider this: professional baseball players don't see the ball when it gets to the plate. the best see it about 5 feet or so from the plate.
