Why?
It is only the juvenile mind that makes that connection.
Uranus is the ancient Greek deity of the Heavens, the earliest supreme god. A very apt name for the first planet to be discovered since the telescope was invented.

Perhaps a better elementary educational system would be a better solution. The problem lies not in the spelling but educating persons on it's proper pronounciation.

But, as they did in reclassifying Pluto as a non-planet, they should recognize that Uranus is, in fact, a small black hole.
