Have you ever been doing some sort of research and came across some bit of knowledge or a fact that a reputable source such as Encyclopedia Britannica got wrong, but the discouraged and distrusted Wikipedia got right? It happened to me twice the other day, I had a minor existential crisis.

And for a random comment, Yahoo! wanted this question to go in Society & Culture > Cultures & Groups > Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendered. Can't imagine why.

Since I am really old fashioned I don't do research online unless I am really lazy and most of the time I will go to the library. Once though I was doing research on Arthropods and the online encyclopedia was extremely lacking in information but wikipedia's was correct. But, now I get some online encyclopedias that generally cost money provided free though our school service and I can access them from home.

You'd be on the set of coronation highway! In theory i assume if no longer something ever happend, there could have been no massive Bang which might recommend that circumstances for existence would not have been created!! In physics isn't there a regulation that states each and every action HAS AN equivalent AND OPPOSITTE reaction?? consequently if there became into no preliminary action, evoloution would not exist.... Cool! Existential questions:)

Yes, proves the internet is as consistant as Robert Downey Jr. staying sober....oops, did I say that?

The worst is doing research and finding something related interesting and following that line of research, then finding something else interesting and following that, etc. I guess that's the very definition of being tangled in the World Wide Web.

An existential crisis? Is that in wikipedia? No. I've run across a few wikipedia errors though.

That's pretty cool. IMDB is becoming less and less of a trusted source so i have to go to wiki for movie info sometimes. IMDB just doesn't have it anymore.

Makes one wonder who is behind that Yahoo! curtain, pushing all them buttons and pulling those levers.

Happens all the time! (both your para #1 and para #2, above!) Proves, 'you can't get it right every time'! no one is, nothing is, infallible!
