I have this lump near my underarm. If I'm wearing a strapless shirt, it shows because it hangs out over my shirt a little bit, whereas my other side looks completely normal. It was painful too so I went to a doctor and had a simple surgery to "remove" it. According to the tests that were done, it was just a clump of old, hard breast tissue. Anyway, although it doesn't hurt so much anymore, it still looks like a lump, only smaller near the bottom and the scar, after one year, is still pretty dark and slightly thicker than I thought it would be. Anyway, do you think another doctor could take out more of this fatty tissue so that the area could flatten and possibly stretch my skin a little towards my armpit and close it back up there, creating the new scar under my arm so that it would only show when I raised my hand? I forgot what kind of doctor he was, but if I want this done now, who should I go to? Thank you!
Weird question, I know, but this has really been bothering me.

And the reason I can't go to the same doctor is because when I complained about the results, he simply lectured me saying that I'm young and beautiful and life is too short and I shouldn't be worrying about this. It's been a year since then and it still bothers me to wear certain things.

I would consult with both a GYN and with a plastic surgeon. First, yes, breast tissue does extend up into the axilla (the armpit). I'm not quite clear on what was meant by "old, hard breast tissue". That doesn't make much sense to me.
Second, if there is still a lump, a plastic surgeon is probably the best next resource to find out what can be done. One year is actually not a lot of time as regards scar tissue, but if there is literally still excess flesh there, this procedure may not have been done as well as it might have. I will temper that by saying that obviously I have not examined you and I don't know whether there was any reason for not excising more tissue, but the response you report from your current doctor is not something that I would find acceptable. If there's a reason, you should know it.

Go to a good plastic surgeon. This is basically a cosmetic procedure, and if you want someone to do it whose concern is with making the outcome look good, rather than just fixing any medical issues, that is what you need. I can sympathize. I still have odd flaps under my arms from a breast reduction I had done years ago, and I can't afford to get them fixed, but not only do they look bad, but I find that bras cut into them regularly.

I might touch a plastic doctor, simply be ready that your coverage may not pay for plastic surgical procedure and it may be highly-priced. Also do not permit a bit of scar hassle you, I have had a scar on my belly considering that I was once born and its certainly not troubled me, I used to put on bikini's earlier than I placed on a few weight, and as soon as I get backpedal there I will mainly put on them once more, I uncover my scar to be a badge of braveness for what I went by way of earlier than I received it
