hurrican ike has something to do with the price of gas here in the US,but gasoline is from oil,and it cost money to refine the oil to make gasoline, diesel and jet fuel. oil is just the base for all our fuels. because oil is a global market if one country has a disaster then everyone else can usually expect to pay more for oil- alot of the price is oil speculation, which is unfair, the oil companies make money but the gas stations who supply the gasoline the public only make pennies on the dollar.alot of small stations have lost their businesses because of the price of oil. when the demand for oil falls so will the price of gas, like it has been.

The gas is stored in large tanks that are buried under the station. They are filled by tanker trucks. The gas will come from a distribution center located nearby in your town, unless you live in a small town and then it will come from a larger city and trucked there.

good luck.

Oil field to super tanker to refinery the piped to fuel farms then transported by tanker truck to fuel station where they dump the fuel into under ground 10,000 and 15,000 gallon fiberglass fuel cells buried underground.

Good Luck!
