Of course I'd date a blind guy. Half of my personal issues are insecurities about my looks, so that takes out one main issue right there. And it would be an honor to be with someone who truly appreciates me for me. If you're being phony nice, or sympathetically nice, then it wouldn't be a good way to start a relationship. If there are real feelings there, then, like any person, you just take a chance at it.

I am married. But, Yes!! I would. If I was single again I would date a blind person. Why not?
To be honest I sometimes wish my husband was blind. And could just know me for who I am... Not worry abut what I look like.
Not only would it make him a beter person it would make me better also. I would have to worry about how I come across and not how I look....

Wonderful Question

My bf's brother is blind and I've found it difficult to remember how to walk, talk, pass things, and dine in a restaurant because I'm not familiar with what he can and can't do. I can't imagine dating the man and having him accidentally hit a door because I didn't think. I'm dangerous to a blind person.

Yes. I did several time. A tall girl partially blind and a semi invalid as she had a slightly impared leg.

Full of laughter, happy and gradually she came to rely on me. Would hold my hand and we shared a lot of lovely moments. She loved the park and I 'd take her there, read her book(s) to here and we would share a small lunch.

I was in the military when I met her, introduced by a friend. Thought her very attractive and we just came together.

Went back on a tour of duty, came home 6/7 months later. My Brother met me at the station drove me home! Asked him to stop by her house as I had a present for her!

She had become important to me and it only mattered to see her, and if I had the courage, to finally put my arms round her and just hold her.

My Brother hadn't said much all the way home, just drove and listened! About a mile from her house he pulled the car over and stopped.

Then he quietly told me - she was dead!

Knocked down by a car as she crossed the road. It had happened about 6 weeks back!

Everyone kept quiet as they knew I was coming home and would tell me then

I stopped at her house saw her Mother. (Her Father had died years before) Spent hours there. The following day I went to her grave with her Mother! Not far from the park were we'd always gone to read her books. Took her Mother there afterwards and we sat in the same place.

Called to see her Mother many times over the years. Got home on compasionate leave just before she died and attended her funeral. Went and sat in the park afterwards!

Still have her book, it was the first one I'd read to her that lovely warm sunny first day whe'd visited the park together.

She gave it to me before I left back on tour.

Never forgot her. Always visited her grave. One day my grown up Daughter asked me who she was. She'd been with me several times as a little girl and over the years as she grew up.

I was never able to answer the question! All I know is, to this day, she was a women who for a few short weeks while we were together (during my leave) brought a freshness and vitality to everything.

Never forgotton here!

Yeah. I don't see what being blind has to do with liking someone.

My second sentence is not meant to sound mean.

Yes I would. I don't think that them being blind would be a deal breaker for me.....there would just have to be adjustments on my part that's all.
