With my second child I got a lot more gifts and I didn't really have to buy anything for him, but now that he's 1 and with my 6 year old I can feel the financial stress. My kids have clothes and food, but goodness it is harder now with 2 kids. I want another child, but the financial situation makes me really think about it twice, especially becaue everything is so expensive now these days. And as a parent you want to be able to give your children as much as you can so they can live a better life than you.

Having a second child wasn't even close to as expensive as my first. I got to reuse a lot of stuff plus by the second most of the family had kids and had handmedowns. I also had 2 boys so I got to reuse clothes which saved a lot. Someone gave me a crib for my 2nd so that was free with matress. So no the 2nd was actually cheaper for me. Another thing is that i learned what i did need and didn't by the 2nd so I didnt' spend money on stuff i knew i couldn't use.

We have a 13 month old daughter, and are now 13 weeks pregnant with baby # 2. I think if we have a boy it will be harder on us because we will have to buy baby boy clothes and things along that nature, if we have another girl though we will already have everything lol. (It really does not matter to us what we are having though :) )

Personally we didn't notice a huge difference with either one of them. There was an incredible amount more laundry to do though. And we don't have much for savings or do terribly well for ourselves...somehow we've just always had what we needed for them.

big difference for me was in child care expenses. If you are a stay at home mom, then your right no big difference. I quit job to stay home, best choice ever.
