Check out the States progress in the World Cup at the moment. Rugby's a great game.
PS If the Texas Rangers were swinging proper cricket bats when they beat the Orioles a few weeks back, how many more points would they have scored. Ha Ha

I once saw a bunch of American Footballers before they got kitted up, talk about weedy! All pale and pimply and teeny weeny. It was so funny. I knew they wore padding, but I didn't realise they wore that much!
Not sure about the brain damage, I know plenty of rugby players and they are all fun, smart guys (so far!). Lots of cauliflower ears and squished noses though, and there's always a few burst eyebrows. They use vaseline on their faces like boxers to help prevent cuts and scrapes.
Takes a lot of balls to play rugby!

Because Rugby football is a man's game. I remember one old colleague of mine - big guy - who used to come in to work every Monday morning with bruises all over his face, two cauliflower ears, a twisted nose and a huge smile. As the week progressed, he came to look more and more human until on Friday he looked almost normal. Then on Monday morning, the cycle started all over again. No evidence of any brain damage though.

because rugby is a man's game, they don't need loads of padding like your American football players, which incidentally what you call football isn't, the game you call soccer is actually football not that mish-mash you call football.
