Yes, I requested info from all of them, and got unrequested applications from Harvard and Princeton (which made me really happy). Still, I know the admission process is highly competitive, but wanted to know what
y'all might think.

Your SAT scores are below the average for Harvard, Princeton, Chicago and WIlliams -- but not so far that you have no chance. Your scores put you around the 25th percentile of those admitted to those schools. You are a little higher up at Cornell.

This means that you have a real shot at these schools -- but you are far from a sure thing.

I think you are more likely than not to get into the other schools -- with Florida and FSU being sure things (but you can do better than both of them).

The bottom line is tha tyou are qualified to get into all of these schools -- but being qualified isn't the same as getting in. You will get into some good schools. To get into the best ones, you need to distinguish yourself from the other qualified applicants. In particular, you need to write a killer essay.

Think about your preferances. I would put them at:

Princeton or Harvard
Chicago
Cornell
WIlliams
Brandeis
Bowdoin
Lehigh
Tulane
Florida
Florida State

If you are interested in Economics, I would move Chicago to the top.

You have a powerful risk of having in. Have you made your record in line with reaches, safeties, and 50/50? Some of your faculties would possibly strangely reject you, since they determine you're powerful ample to get right into a extra "elite" university (I used to be rejected from a cal state, however received into George Washington!). Have you additionally made your record in line with affordability? Your GPA is great if you're now not taking into account ivy league. Furthermore, after taking three AP guides in step with semester in my junior and senior years, and all honors guides, I can let you know AP is a waste of time. You take a path, and also you MIGHT get credit score IF you cross the examination with a rating your tuition will receive. OR, you'll be able to pass to group school, cross the path, and it counts regardless, so long as it's transferable! IF cash is an hassle, I could take guides at a group school that switch over, and you'll be able to input tuition with part your freshman 12 months knocked off. In different phrases, for your moment semester, you're a sophomore!

Your class rank is critical, and it will definitely help you. Because of your SATs, you probably are unlikely to get into Harvard, Princeton, or the Univesity of Chicago, and I would be shocked if you did NOT get into Williams, Lehigh, or Florida State. I think you have a pretty good chance at all of the others.

Sounds like you have a pretty good chance. Remember, universities look for students who can bring something to their campus and make a difference. Its important to know how all of this experience you have and what you are learning in the classroom will do for each school. A great thing I like to recommend is looking at the university's student paper or campus events and see what's happening and what interest you as a student leader. That way, when it comes to interviews and you making a decision on what school fits you best, you will be able to have some solid information. Hope that helps

Nice choice. Cornell University is comeptitive. I have a friend who's son graduated from Cornell University. He loved the school. So good choices.

E-mail the universities and request info to be sent out to you.
Look at them carefully. And that way you can choose carefully.
