pi does NOT equal 3.14. It is an irrational number, meaning you can't say what it equals exactly. It's very close to 3.14.

If you are in trigonometry and you are talking about angles, pi radians is the same as 180 degrees, so pi over 4 is 45 degrees.

"pi" is equal to 3.1415. If you are placing it over a faction bar with a four, that means to divide by four. Be sure to put the 3.1415 into the calculator first.
However, if you are in a precal class, you may need the answer in radians.
