Definitely....I ordered 2 LARGE size pizza from Papa's John few months back when I had few guest at my house. It took them over an hour for delivery then we were all starved to death by then. So after we gave the money to the delivery guy; we all went to the kitchen and ready to eat.....Guess What???-both orders were MEDIUM size.
We all got pissed off 'coz now after we've been waiting for a long time.....the food wasn't even enough for all of us.
I called Papa's John and told the manager the problem and the manager said that they don't even serve any medium size that night and I even gave him the measurement of the pizza and the box then he became rude and cursed at me then hung the phone up. So I called papa's john headquarter the next day (i got the phone number from www.papajohn.com) and reported it to them.
Now they keep sending me these coupons for free pizza but I never ordered from them since then.

I work at a pizza place, and I never deliver a room temp pizza, seriously. You have to understand though, most times it will be busy so delivery time could take 90 minutes. Driver's can't fly, I guess they could if they sped to the house. Yes we do use hotbags, to keep it hot. You can always pick it up when the wait time is only 20 minutes, that way you're guaranteed to have a fresh hot pizza. That being said, if I were you I would call the store as the driver is standing on the doorstep and tell them it's not fresh, and have the manager give you the pizza for free, or have them credit you for next time you order.

Not only should you get a replacement pizza, you should complain on the company's website if it is a national chain. I've given you the sites to the three biggest franchises. Good luck! Oh, and the pizza you get in replacement should come with a voucher for something free or they should bring you something extra for your troubles. If they don't, I'd stop being a customer. They have very poor service to deliver so late and then to NOT apologize and try to make amends is inexcusable in my mind. You want good food and good service. I usually give a second chance. But that's up to you. Hope your next delivery is on time and made to order!

Yes! I would be upset and I'd demand a refund. Did they tell you that it was going to take that long? and if they didn't then I would have a word or two with the manager, when you were waiting for it you should have called. I would have kept the pizza stick it in the oven and not pay for it.

Most pizza delivery people have warmers that they carry pizza in. I have never had one that was room temp since they started using these. However, I know that if your pizza was not delivered to you as you ordered and was not hot - you have the right to refuse the pizza or have them replace the order. We eat pizza quite often and my fiance' does not ever want his pizza cut. He believes (!) since he does not eat pork that the pizza slicer is used to cut all kinds of pizza. To ensure that 'his' does not touch pork - he asks that it not be cut. We have our own pizza slicer. Many times, it has come cut - and many times - they have to take it back. Period.

I would be upset, and probably call the pizza place and tell them that I'm not happy with the service. I would NOT return my food. NEVER piss off people who are dealing with your food, as you can't see what they're doing to it out of the sight of others. Deal with the food by reheating it, and enjoy it and forget about it, but find a new place to order, and definitely call and let them know you're unhappy and won't be ordering from them again.

No, I wouldn't be upset. But I would never trust them to deliver pizza to me again.

You bet! However, consider this, are you in a new development? Is the street updated on a local map?Had this problem before, and chose a different pizza parlor. If they can't get it right, spend elsewhere.
