Here're some sites on the history:
Ironton Register, July 24, 1856 - Amanda Furnace - This valuable property in Kentucky, just above Ironton is offered at auction by the Executors of the late A. Paull. (1st link)

The Amanda blast furnace belonged to Armco, one of the largest industrial developments in Ashland. At the close of the 1950s, Armco announced another $95 million upgrade, later upgraded to $145 million. In 1963, the Amanda blast furnace was completed as part of the upgrade. 2 brothers celebrating their 60th wedding anniversaries - William retired from Armco after 40 years of service where he was a supervisor at the Amanda Blast Furnace. John spent his career at Armco, too, working almost 39 years as a crane operator. (3rd link)

Amanda Furnace, near the Greenup County line; US 23 -
Built in 1963 by Armco Steel Corp., the Amanda Furnace was rated as the ideal blast furnace, with a hearth diameter of 30.5', a daily capacity of 3340 tons of iron. In March 1966, it set the American record of 110,515 tons. (4th link)

Greenup County's economy is broad-based, depending on both industry and agriculture. Eleven surface coal mines produced 1.05 million tons of coal in 1986. Much of Armco Steel's Ashland plant lies in Greenup County, including two huge blast furnaces-Amanda, once among the world's largest, and Bellefonte. (5th link)

we are all here, right now the only thing we know is NOW heaven and hell can't be in next life, they are now I desire to be with family, and if I am an 'unbeliever' than you will call me an outsider living out of the presence of what you call 'god' as christianity evolved further and further away from Paul and his own twists of Judaism, we get Dante's inferno and all manners of exagerations and misinterpretations of greek and hebrew how about making this life worth living and drop a fixation of "heaven" and join those living in the now, help your neighbor, love your fellow man, quit espousing a lie that divides us and keeps us in a perpetual hell of no contact and being afraid and miserable can't we all just jam and get along, mon?
