My friend son is 5 years old he still wears a diaper nothing is wrong with kid. my friend is just a lazy poor exuse for a farther. (I THINK THE KID DOES IT ON SPITE)The kid mother is out of the picture. He tryed to send his son in school wearing a diaper. The school obviously won't take him. He is under the impression it is the school responsibility to take him they cant rufuse a child's education. I never heard of any teacher thats going to change a 5 year old? wouldnt social services get involved? Even if the kid got into school wearing a diaper wouldnt the other kids make fun of him if not potty trained?

Your friend needs to pull those diapers off that kid like pronto! Dad needs to take son into the bathroom every hour and or when dad goes to use the bathroom himself.
I had my daughter potty trained in 1 week. She had no accidents ever. I was very lucky.
Unfortunately, boys don't potty train as quickly and easily as girls do. If this little boy is not potty trained soon, there is going to be BIG problems. He needs to start school, and you said yourself that the school won't take him. And yes, if this child goes to school with a pull up on, he will be made fun of and that won't help his situation any more.
If the dad is really that clueless and doesn't care, maybe he will when he has CPS on his doorstep. Seriously, you need to really consider this. Do it for the child. If the father is that dumb to NOT potty train his son, this is neglect, what ELSE is dad not doing for him?
Sad, that this child is being neglected like this. Do the right thing and call CPS.

yes by all means the other kids wll laugh at him and the father should be ashamed of hisself this boy should already been potty trained 3and half years ago.it's not the schools responsibility to diaper this boy and yes the dss will have questions about this if someone would bring it to their attention.if the boy was disable he could and should take him to a daycare that take care of handicap children.

That's too old to wear nappies. I suggest bribing him. When my cousins were toilet training my auntie had a star chart. Stars may not work, but I'm sure money will.

Yes, the other children would most likely make fun of him.

I suggest posting this in the parenting section, instead of adolescents though, you may get more answers.

When he is ready he will go, there are some children especially boys, seem to be harder to train. Perhaps, seeing the other kids go to the potty will make him want to go to the potty.

My Grandson, is two he will only pee in the potty but he would not poop in the potty.

Just need to be patience. Scolding him, or hitting him is not the way. Please, do not do that. Have a good night.

Try telling your friend that! Maybe he'll get the picture huh? Make sure he knows your feelings towards this, and he might be able to change the situation.

that is crazy they need to sit his butt on that pot until he goes. everyday all day i don't care if he pitches a fit, make him sit. put him on some underwear and tap his behind if he goes in his clothes. Ain't no when hes ready. When he started saying full sentences he was ready. Schools will not take him and they can deny him.
