No. People always say if something sounds too good to be true then it probably is. I say don't assume anything in either direction. Investigate and find out for yourself. You don't want to be tricked by too much hype, but you also don't want to trick yourself out of an amazing opportunity.

If it is too good to be true then it probably is. If it probably is then there is a good possibility it is and if a good possibility you can probably make a bet that it is true.
