I definitely like set one better. First and middle names that start with the same letter tend to have a sing-songy alliteration sound, which is cute for about two minutes. Your sister might want to try different combinations from the first and second set. There are some good names there as well.

If I was a kid in set 1 named Erica I might feel that my name was really common and my sister's names were not.
Set two names are not as common. Erica is more common than Lauren. I would go with 2. I would stay away from the double names though.

I like the first names of set 2, but with the middle names of set 1 only because they shouldn't start with the same letter.
