I'm trying to identifify a plant, I think I might have hornwort, or it would be another family of it? Please list similar plants that look like hornwort? Please?

One misc question: Tetra makes a 50 watt heater for 2-15 gallon? Is that even safe since it's 50 watts? I don't want to take a chance of cooking my favorite betta!
Thanks!

Hornwort only has the one species that's commonly sold (Ceratophyllum demersum). If not the cabomba, how about Myriophyllum (Myrio, Parrot's feather, water milfoil): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myriophyllum although this is more typically a pond plant.

There's also Chara, which is an algae that looks similar, but I don't think I've ever seen this for sale: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charales

If not these, maybe you can find it in one of these links:

I've been using Aquaclear 25 watt heaters in 2.5 and 5 gallon tanks for my bettas for a while now, and no problems with these (so far, anyway): http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/group/11431/product.web The only thing I dislike about them is that the adjustment knob is enclosed in soft plastic which makes then harder to adjust. I haven't tried the Tetra heaters.

cabomba looks a lot like hornwort -- its a little more delicate and breaks easily.

the best way to not cook your betta is get a thermometer to go with the heater. the heater will heat evenly but the thermostat on the heater is hardly ever right. tetra also makes a little heater that heats to exactly 78 degrees i think? i don't know -- i don't do heaters -- i live in fla and its hot enough.
