I mean, there's so much they can bash these lame candidates for, yet they don't.. Romney's a "flip flop", Thompson is lazy and is afraid to even show his face. And Rudy, well they could just have a field day with him..
Seems by focusing on Bush, they allow themselves to take a thrashing.. The reps seem to be playing the "game" much better as all of them talk rarely about the issues but mainly about the dems in general.. Isn't it about time they fought back?

Well, the Bush bashing is making them popular. It's a tactic to draw the attention of Bush haters and gain votes. That's pretty obvious. They will refer to Bush's mistakes and tell the people how much better they will be if they become president. I agree, they should also focus on the Republican candidates as well. I recommend they start with Giuliani. He is an easy target.

There will be plenty of time for that once they choose one candidate. Why waste it now bashing all of them. Anyway, the dems aren't that good at bashing. The republicans are total experts. Proof of that is when John Kerry was a war hero with the silver medal of honor, bronze star, and 3 purple hearts and the swift boat guys actually made the war deserter Bush look more heroic than Kerry.

It would make discussing politics much more interesting. The thing is, I haven't seen much collaboration from the Liberals around here once you take them off the topic of "Bush's war." Well, there's also the evil FOX (and various talk show stars), the evil oil companies, evils of all religions, and global warming...

The reason they don't turn their attention to the candidates is because then they'd have to get into real issues and the Dems have no plans and would look stupid like they are.

I think that they should be dedicating their time toward loftier goals then bashing the competition.

Oh, I don't know, things like:
the economy
health care
foreign relations
social security
etc...

The problem with politicians today is that they spend their time and effort trying to embarrass the competition, rather then fixing the problems the US is currently facing.

Attacking Bush is actually a tactic of the Dems... this president is so unpopular that they don't want people to forget how much they really detest this president. Its actually smart... people don't differentiate the powerful politicians from the party (ex....Bill Clinton... I mean people can't stop talking about how much they hate him)... Its actually smart of the Dems to keep the attack on Bush; there is a lot of time to attack the candidates later.

Democrats need a candidate who will listen to the American public over the illegal issue. Democrats need to state their positions on defending the boarder from further invasion and clean up the illegal issue. And by clean up I mean enforce the laws we have on the books.

The problem with the Dems is that they are trying to fight the poor and inept Bush leadership with poor ang inept Congressional leaders. Harry Reid is a wussy.

BTW, I am as liberal as you can get, but I am not stupid.
Bad is bad.

There's nothing they can say about George because he really doesn't care. He's got them by the short hairs and they can't do a thing about it. They don't seem to have a plan to bring the troops home like they promised in 06, and they don't have the votes to back it up if they did.

They should, but in all honesty, the Dems have no game, nothing to bring to the table, so what's the point? They're gonna lose anyways and try bashing the Republicans because we have a lot more to throw back in their faces. If you Dems apparently have nothing better to do than to take part in childish acts and insult Bush, and the Republicans. Yes, it works both ways, but you're on here whining about it...not us...
