He said that he would stop making albums if kanye outsold him. Now he's saying that if he get's outsold, he will release an album everytime kanye does, or something like that. Being a former hustler and dealer, 50 should know more than anyone that you don't go back on what you said without losing credibility. I think he has reached his peak and he knows it. The initial claim that he would quit if kanye outsold him was a publicity stunt to generate interest in his album, which did not work as well as he planned.

Barcelona, i didn't say i beleived him. But someone who would resort to this sort of marketing stunt shows that they are desperate. Gangsta rappers are supposed to live by what they say, now 50 is going back on something he never should have said to begin with.

Mz, it's one thing for an artist to say that they will retire, but what 50 did is totally different. He is backing out of what he said and the final sale figures aren't even out yet. It was obviously a marketing stunt to generate interest in his album and he had no intention of quitting. 50 obviously has no problem with lying to his fans to generate extra interest in his album to add to the sales figures.

i know huh and i read that article about him on billboard.com saying that he's gonna release an album everytime def jam release one and i think he punked out on what he said about not making anymore solo albums if he's out sold by kanye
50 cent is jsut stupid and ignorant and besides he's only in it for the money and publicity nothing else, if he was a real hip hop artist he would make music for the love of it not just to make millions of dollars, so if his plan is to do that now he's gonna lose alot of fans and he will start falling off the charts while kanye west is enjoying his shine and making good music that his fans love to hear from him.
i really think 50 needs to really think about what he's planning on doing other wise he's gonna ruin his own carrer and it will be his fault nobody elses.

#1 I've been to prison/county jail all that. 50, while he's got hooks, a tight verse here n there, he mainly rides on Dre's beats and publicity stunts. He claimed he did a 3 to 9 in prison, but I read once he did 9 months in a rehab type institution.So much for keepin it real! Then there was all that snitchin and dry snitchin, I'm cool. 50 can do what he wants, but don't count on him to keep his word.
