I'm 12yrs old with a bust of 33 inches and i was wondering if a should wear a proper bra, usually i wear just singlets and stuff. On the internet i found out that my bra size is 34b - is that big?? What's the average 12 yr old bra size and if i do need a bra, how shall i ask my mum about it? No silly answers please!

If its true that you are a 34 B, then yes you need a proper bra with underwire and a proper fitting.
And dont worry, your mom and every other girl out there has had to talk to their mom about this. Just tell her. She's expecting this conversation with you.
Its best to go to a major department store where they can do a fitting for you. Over 80% of girls wear the wrong bra size without even knowing it. And not to worry, the ladies that do the fittings have done it 100 times, so nothing to be embarrassed about. Promise.

If you are more than an A cup then you def need a bra. 34b isn't bad, a nice size. But if you're only 12 then are fairly certain weill go up a size or two. All girls are different no way to say who is average. Some girls are skinny with big boobs others are heavy with tiny ones and the reverse can be true for both as well.
I am a 38D but I just had a baby. Depending on my weight at prepreggers I was a 34b or a 34c.
Just be straight, that you need a bra. If you run without a bra and it is uncomfortable then you can bring it up that way, that you need support. Simple as that.

1. yes you should definetly wear a proper bra.
2. yes, 34b is pretty average for girls that age. (Im 13 and i wear a 34b)
3.when you go shopping with your mom, and your looking in the girl's section, casually walk over to the bra section and point out one you like. If you need an excuse, just say "its so cute!" or "If I dont like it we can return it"
(you can also get your bra size determind by the people who work at victoria's secret and they will help you chose a bra thats right for you!)
Ive been through all of this, and your mom will totaly understand! Its normal for girls, so dont be afraid at all!

A 34 B is not big but you could start wearing a bra if you wanted to. Just tell your mom that you would like to shop for a bra. You're almost 13, a teenager, you're of age. My niece has some now and she's 11. Every girl is different and matures differently. You're just where you should be.

Your breasts are large enough that you could wear a bra. It really a matter of personal comfort. If your breasts don't jiggle too much, you may not need to wear one. There is no typical breast size. You are the same size I was at your age. I'm surprised you would have to ask your mum. It should be obvious to her that you have developed breasts. Just say "Hey, mum, I think it's time to shop for bras. What do you think?"

Yea 32b you def need a bra now. I dont think thats big for a 12 yr old. Not to worry. I would tell your mom that you need money to go shopping for a bra or ask if she will take you..

well i dont know what a normal size for a 12 year old but my sister is 12 too and shes a c cup but i dont think theres a normal or propper size its just some girls grow more than other girls and ther aint no problem with that and dont be scared or shy to ask your mom ur growing and she needs to know that you need to buy bras period so take my advice and use it wisley okay

I would just tell your mom that you think its time you shopped for a bra and you would like her to go with you. Most dept stores have a woman working there who will find the right size for you.

If you feel you need to wear a bra, go ahead and get one.
A 12 y/o can wear anything from a size 30AAA to a 38DDD.
Just ask your mom, she's been through this before.

Well if I was your mother would already be wearing a "real" bra. Just tell your mother that you need a bra, simple as that. She was a young lady once and maybe she is just in denial about your growing up.
