My preference is Lucas Oil ( big bottle). Just make sure that you don't put it at every fill up. It is better to use it every other one or two. Because injector cleaners are solvent and can damage your seals on the injectors.

Funny thing about fuel injectors since about 1988 they have had self cleaning tips. They are not infalable and will sometimes clog. By then it to late for injector cleaner. Check with the manufacture of your car GM has there stuff they recomend and nissan has what they like (3m) chrysler used techron under there label. Don't over use, read instructions. I have always beleived in a little marvel mystery oil for anything that sticks or needs cleaning.

As long as it is formulated for a gasoline engine then they are virtually the same.

Big diesels are a bit different since the fuel is injected under pressure from a sort of pump. Kind of like the old "jetronic" fuel injection Volkswagens used to have. The fuel is pumped into a small cast iron "pump" with little pistons in it and is then forced through steel or copper lines to the cylinder head. There are new direct injection engines out there now where the fuel goes right into the combustion chamber and does not have to pass the intake valve.

Good Luck!
