People think that he is special because he was a coach for the Patriots....
He is overrated because Notre Dame gets the top football players in the Country year in and year out, and he can't Coach them up!!!
I don't know if he cheats or not, but I would not be surprised if he saw it happening while at New England...

The main praise one Weis was he was such an offensive Guru. He turned 7th round pic Tom Brady into Tom Brady one of the best QBs in NFL history. So a college program wants a coach like that. When Weis got to Norte Dame, the team was decent because Ty Willingham recuited good players, so all Weis had to do was give them some direction. And he did that by leadin Norte Dame to back to back winning seasons. He also turned lost Brady Quinn into a soon to be good Pro.
But the main things is it isn't Weis is overrated it is just Norte Dame is young. They lost alot of talent offensively to the Draft. So they are really starting from scratch. All Weis is doing is trying to find some direction and hopefully go from there but i expect Norte Dame to pic it up next year, since all these young players will have a year under their belt

i'm a hardcore dependable OSU fan, yet i will particularly say that Charlie Weis is a enormously sturdy coach. He did lots in New England and he's already achieved lots in ND. confident, he did get outcoached via Tressel, yet he remains a enormously sturdy coach. i may be susceptible to assert that Tressel is a larger coach, partly by using his recruiting. Weis does not have the recruiting capability yet that Lou Holtz, Joe Paterno, or Steve Spurrier ever had. provide him a on an identical time as to construct and he would, nevertheless. i do no longer comprehend approximately overvalued as i do no longer even comprehend in the event that they actually value the coaches for my section. Over-hyped...in line with probability.

He's not overrated. I mean, come on, he's an offensive guru for a reason. And Tom Brady and Brady Quinn didn't develop all by themselves. It's just, he has no talent at Notre Dame. So he can't really do much...

He's over rated, has been since he was at New England. Notre Dame got fooled into paying him, now they are paying the price by getting blown out every week.
