I mean think about it, what's a kid going think when poppin-fresh dough boy tries to get them to get in shape? The players have to be laughing inside.

lyricallybrilliant, both the Notre Dame and Michigan qbs today were freshmen, recruited by the head coaches at both schools. Michigan isn't really very good, but Notre Dame really, really sucks. Maybe tons of fun should get in shape, to motivate his team.

no it makes them think about how nice it would be to eat a twinkie instead of getting creamed on the football field.

i would strongly disagree with what you're saying.....

no offense to you at all or nothin but some of college football's greatest coaches were a little on the heavy side....

lets see you got Bobby Bowden (yea he's old but geesh he's not physically fit)

his son Tommy isn't that physically fit either (Tommy Bowden coaches Clemson)

i love the coach in Wisconsin.....he's tall and he's a little heavy.....but he gets the job done he knows how to win games.....

and so does Charlie Weis.....his "obesity" isn't the reason why Notre Dame isn't doing well this year.....

Brady Quinn wasn't the only kid from Notre Dame to be drafted a few months ago.....some key players on defense went along too, as well as a couple of linemen....

so the real reason why Notre Dame is 0-3 this year is.....they have no true talent....at ANY position on the field.....they're gonna get beat by far superior teams this year.....it isn't Charlie's fault.....

but then again....college coaches are responsible for recruiting.....and i suppose you now see that the Fighting Irish didn't do so well recruiting the top prospects last year.....

I'd be laughing on the outside if I were his player, which means he'd cut me and I'd transfer to a school whose coach was in decent shape

No, because if you don't do what the coach says, you don't play. Period.

Also, if you don't listen to the coaches and do whatever you want, they can kick you off the team. If you get kicked off the team, there goes your free ride through school.

Joe Paterno is 1,000 years old, but he can still recruit teenagers.
