I'm trying to make flyers and posters to recruit students on my campus to donate to Locks of Love and need some input on catchy sayings, slogans, and colors for our campaign. Locks of Love is a not-for-profit organization that provides hair prosthetics for children who have developed long-term medical hair loss.

Remember the country song "skin" about the girl who'd been through chemo and was going to the prom without hair and her boyfriend shaved his? How about some pics of a hairless girl in a prom dress with a slogan to appeal to help give her hair for the prom? If seeing a girl in a prom dress with all the accessories except hair doesn't hit home with the girls, nothing will.

If I were going to get my hair cut short, I`d much rather see it used for a good purpose than thrown away.

Maybe you could show pictures of people with unflattering long hair and people with cute short haircuts. ``Will YOU be making the cut`` Then put the details in smaller print and a website address in bigger print.

I donated my hair when I started chemo. My hairdresser and her friend cut it all off very carefully, and cried while they did it.
Then she gave me a buzz [ my idea ].
When my hair started falling out [ in weird bunches - looked like a bird had been picking at my head ], my older son shaved it for me. Then I looked like Mr. Clean!
My insurance covered a nice wig, thankfully, but you feel really naked without your hair. I used to forget and pour shampoo on my hand to wash my hair - sometimes I washed my scalp with it.
And you have to moisturize your scalp!
I sometimes wore a stocking cap to bed because I was so cold.

Seeing the face of a cute kid that is suffering would make me give up almost anything.... even my hair.... Let them know that they can't save the whole world, but they can change one kids world when it's falling apart. Good luck!!!!! Way to go!!!
