I was given pastel pink stroller from my boss who thought it was great. The only problem is, I really wanted the olive green stroller. ANYWAY...since it was a gift, ie no receipt, even though it is still in its box Target won't take it back. I called their store manager and said that I would need an "override autorhization code" which I needed to get from their Guest Relations 1-800, which of course is closed on the weekends. Does anyone have this special code? If I can have it, then I can exchange the stroller for the one I really wanted. Please help!!

Apparently Target now has a stricter return policy. No receipt means no return. All gifts MUST have their gift receipt.

If your mom paid with a credit card, the record of the purchase should still be on the magnetic strip of the card and they should be able to use that. Another thought is to wait for the credit card bill to arrive and take that in with the Target charges. If you're stuck with the credit, put it in your wallet where you keep your money, because it is worth over $70!! Usually they will give you a store credit, not just an exchange so you can buy something else you'd like. If it really has to be in the department, just sit on the credit. It won't be long before there is something else you'll want, high tech is changing so fast now. By the way, I know someone who has a Logitech system and it is a great system because it has its own battery so you can take it out of the house and use it without power (at least the one I saw has). As my grandmother used to say: This should be the worst of your problems! :-) Glad it was a great holiday for you!

Unfortunately, since it is over $20 there's nothing you can do without a receipt. I've worked customer service at Target for over a year now and usually when you call guest relations without a receipt and the item is over $20, there's nothing they can do for you either.
You should try to get a gift receipt from your boss. If he/she doesn't have the receipt anymore and paid credit, debit, giftcard or check, the guest service team member will be able to look it up and exhange it.

Target has had that receipt requirement for several years. They don't make exceptions. They give everyone those extra "gift" receipts, even if you don't want them.

Ask you boss for the gift receipt or get use to the pink.

Just explain to your boss that you apreciate the gift , But that you would like to exchange the stroller because you didn't like color and ask him if he still has the receipt so you can exchange it for the one that you want.

Hey,
You do not need receipt to return it back. They will not give you cash back but will give you gift card, which you can use to buy anything you want.

Usually Target guys are good and do not give tough time.
