Would you say that America is crumbling rapidly because of its lack of a moral backbone?

I think the belief that morality as a "true for me, true for you" concept really isn't working, ja?

This way of thinking exists here all because of people who know the universal truth of morality, but refuse to accept it (or ignore it) due to their own selfish immoral ambitions. Those who wish to change can and will change. Some DISEASES exist just because of centuries of SEXUAL immorality.

(To you radical Atheists, no I am not saying "God" is the universal truth, or I would have made a direct reference rather than beating around the bush. Just a future FYI to prevent some fluff on this Q. I have no religion and draw my conclusions from logic and nature itself.)

What say you?

Yes I do, People close their door when they see bad things being done , and do not speak up when they see some one stealing or being dishonest , They do not want t get involved . I seen a druggie passed out in the park in the full sun, in 90 degrees weather , every one walked around this person , I could not believe it , I went over and woke her up and helped her under the shade of a tree and then phoned for an ambulance , I could not believe how many so called GOOD people just stepped around her .

Nature comes from a creator. So to believe in "nature" you subconsciously believe in a super "natural" being or entity. Most people just prefer to call that entity "God". It has nothing to do with religion.

I'm American and yeah, morality is just about dead. Without a belief in a "higher creator" the lack of morality is an expected consequence. Humans need to have a "belief" in a higher creator so that they will feel morally inclined to treat others morally.

Let me ask you a question. Why did you target "America" specifically? Why not the Middle East, Why not South America? Why not the whole world?

According to Roman History I was always taught that what brought down the last world power was a moral failure from within, And I believe you are right as morals decline in this country every year, just today I saw where in Philly they are coming up on 300 homicides this year and its only September, apparently that will break a record, violent crime is up everywhere., Ironically in the Bible is says that one of the signs of the end of time will be as it were in the days of Noah and the bible says in those days the whole earth was filled with violence. Thats exactly where we are today, A flood of epic proportions maybe coming, get ready everyone.

I hope that we're not "crumbling rapidly", but I agree that we do have a problem here in America. I love the USA, but... like any society, we will survive only as long as we deserve to.
