It may be monitor problem. See some menu button on your monitor. Press the menu button. A menu will appear. choose "Degauss" option if available. Hopefully it would correct your problem. However manu button may not appear on your monitor but almost all monitor have a "Degauss" option.
Sometimes the problem becomes rectified automatically if it occurs due to loose connection of wires in the monitor. Once I got a similar type of problem and I opened the monitor, cleaned it and re-assembled. The problem was solved.
If it still not right then probably the graphics driver has been corrupted. Please try to reinstall the graphics driver.
The last option I can say is the fault of your graphics card. Hope this has not occured yet. If really it is then change the graphics card if possible.

Don't know what happened but I suggest a complete shutdown and unplug for 5 minutes, then restart. Also shut the monitor off for the time.
