Heterogeneous means that the mixture has different phases, different parts with distinct physical and chemical properties, while a homogeneous mixture is uniform. The test I tell my students to use is, "Can I tell one part of the mixture from another?" If the answer is yes, then it's hetero instead of homo. In your case, fog is liquid water suspended in a gas, the air. Since you have two physical states, that is a heterogeneous mixture. Likewise, blood has multiple parts: red and white blood cells, small platels floating around that help with clotting, a water base, etc. Since each has unique properties, it is also heterogeneous.

In chemistry, a combination is a substance made via combining 2 or extra diverse aspects in this style of way that no chemical reaction occurs. a combination can frequently be separated lower back into its unique factors. some examples of combos are oil, ocean water and soil. combos are the made of a mechanical mixing or mixing of chemical ingredients like aspects and compounds, with out chemical bonding or different chemical exchange, so as that each and every element substance keeps its very own chemical homes and makeup [a million] . whilst there are no longer any chemical adjustments in a combination, actual homes of a combination, inclusive of its melting factor, would variety from those of its factors. combos can frequently be separated via mechanical potential. There are 2 categories of combos: homogeneous combos (inclusive of recommendations, colloidal dispersions and suspensions), and heterogeneous combos. Homogeneous combos Homogeneous combos are combos which have confident, genuine composition and homes. as an occasion, any volume of a given combination has the comparable composition and homes. Examples are recommendations and a few alloys (yet no longer all). Homogeneous combos is additionally referred to as "organic ingredients." A homogeneous combination is a uniform combination alongside with in basic terms one section. Examples are gas and margarine. Heterogeneous combos Heterogeneous combos are combos with confident composition, as an occasion, granite. Salad is a typical occasion of 1 of those combination. Heterogeneous combos are suggested to have a number of stages (to no longer be perplexed with stages of count number). The factors of a heterogeneous composition would properly be straight away separated from one yet another. Examples contain: salad, path blend, milk(formerly homogenization)and ponda

Their ingradients don't dissolve(chemically) in each other like salt & water or glucose & water and so they are heterogeneous.
