Everytime my computer goes into sleep mode or I close it, the wireless internet turns off. Is there some sort of setting to change this? Or how can I be sure that when I leave, my internet won't go out?

We have a protected wireless internet so I'm not worried about the nightbors.. and I'm not bumping the switch. I'm not even at my computer when it happens.

Using the wireless and keeping it active is a drain on your batteries. You can go into your Power Options and alter some things that will help keep it from going into sleep mode but I believe once it does that your internet connection, wired or wireless, will be disabled for power saving unless changed.

It is suppose to. Unless yours is different--plus you might be bumping the switch which turns it on and off, which happened to me a couple of times . Good Luck
PS do you want your wireless on when not in use? Hope you trust your neighbors! correct me if I'm wrong.

If your too far away you will have a weak signal, also keep in mind that a wireless router uses a 2.4 frequency so if you have alot of portable phones or its next to a microwave then the signal can drop alot...If not your router may be going out.

Turn off hibernation. If you want the computer off, turn it off. Otherwise it should stay on.
