they had some people tape the Jets practice for them. Which is illegal. And yes it is different from watching game tape.

WOW .. big deal a guy filmed defensive signals 2 use against them later on.. every team does it for one.. and two.. the players had nothing 2 do with it so people.. dont blaime them.. and 3 patriots will win no matter what.. and im not a patriot fan if u guyz ask im a dallas cowboys fan

somehow it was discovered that the Patriots were video taping other teams side-line signals and then the cooresponding play formations that went with each signal.
Bill Bellicek got a $500,000 fine and the Patriots organization got a $250,000 fine.
supposedly, it wasn't just a one-time deal either.

During the JETS game, one of their staff was caught on the sideline, taping the JETS defensive coach's hand signals.
the NFL, fined Bellichick $25,000 and, the team $500,000.
if they make the playoffs, they lose a 1st round draft pick, next year and, if they don't, they lose a 2nd and, 3rd round draft pick.

They used a viedo camera to steal signals. They DIDN'T get in trouble for stealing signals like everyone thinks. They used to technology to get them. Thats against the rules.
Himan they didn't tape the practice... don't post if you don't know what your talking about.
