Seventeen Foot Tall ?? Sweet Lord, WHY ??
JUST SAY NO !!
I've had to carve 10-20 foot statues for theater productions, and you're looking at $200-300 for the materials to POUR a styrofoam block for yourself. Buying commercial styrofoam blocks itself will cost you about $1000 USD
You THEN have to seal the styrofoam to paint it... either with plaster or hydrocal...

Are you bored? If so, you can go to work for me on Tuesday so I don't have to put up with being short staffed at my job (yet again). Or you can get busy trying to get someone to pick up that shift.
