No, she's really 13 because she's been on this planet for 13 years. It's just that she can only celebrate her birthday on the actual date every 4 years. I don't always get to celebrate my birthday on the exact day either (because of my job, usually), but I still continue to age one year every 365 days!

I do believe it because i have an uncle that was born on that day febuary 29th and a classmate also that born on the same day. Yes it does come every 4 years...there was one 3 years ago, i think that when that was around 2004. In febuary 29 2008, it's going to come around. So she'll be 14 years old and on leap year she would be 4. Just be her friend, that what you can do... ;D

I'm not sure you can do anything about it! I wouldn't put so much energy into it! If they don't believe you, then so be it. She can still have her birthday anyway!

I've never met anyone whose birthday is Feb. 29th. I always thought it would be kind of cool!

Sorry... she is still another year older even though she didn't have her day.

She can tell her friends her birthday is tomorrow and the next day she can say... sorry you missed it, my birthday was yesterday.

To tell you the truth you can't really do anything about it.

If they don't believe you, they don't believe you. It shouldn't really matter what they believe anyway, at least you- someone- knows that she's not really lying. :]
