For all the 'distress' they have had to put up with? Would that be the 'distress' for being 'suspects' in the disappearance of their daughter because of 'their' negligence? Or because they have brought it all on themselves and still find it 'ludicrous' why anyone should dare to doubt them?

Who is for an apology then???

tgibbyson - If they are so upset about their 'missing' daughter why worry about an apoligy? I would have thought that the last thing on their minds but they not exactly self-less are they?

APOLOGY? Are the McCanns sorry for putting all their friends through the distress they thought up to cover their tracks in this, now turned, The McCann Show? Why cant we dare to think they did it? Who the hell do they think they are? All we want is the truth, then they can have whats coming to them, total hell on this earth for ever! The more people talk about this, the more we are playing into their hands, they are still in the limelight, so I say......I would like an apology from them and if i got it i would gladly tell them where they could put it!

The McCanns should be on their knees beginning forgiveness for betraying their children - for putting Madeleine through God knows what terror. For lying to the Portuguese police, for having their friends make a "pact of silence" which all misled the police in the early days ruining any real chance of finding Madeleine. They should also apologise to people for conning their hard earned cash from them, promising it would go towards searching for Madeleine, and as yet, it hasn't been used for this purpose.
The McCanns should be apologising for ALL of this and more, because if they hadn't been so damn selfish that night of May 3rd, their daughter would still be with them.

They should try telling the truth for a start and then apologise for lying so much. How can the police get on with finding Madeleine when the statements of the McCanns and their dinner companions conflict so much with each other and independent witnesses rebut them?

The family are the ones spreading all the stories so they should apologise as well.

Reading your headline - the first image to enter my head was:

Ian Huntley the Soham murderer.

As the McCanns are suspects, I think asking for apologies from anyone is a bit much. THEY should be apologising on TV to their daughter Madeleine.

the selfish arrogant so and sos
they want an apoligy
what for exactly for being caught out out as selfish neglectful parents
or for being caught out sedating their kids
there is a number of reasons that they do not deserve an apolgy
they need to wise up as prison inmated will not torelate them 2 with all their airs and graces

if anything, the pair of them should be apologising to the parents of the UK, for blackening their behaviour abroad.

gerry mccann having the nerve to imply " Everybody Does It ", made me feel physically sick!

so if everybody else jumped off a cliff,
played on the motorway,
took drugs,
abandoned their children so they could to go to quiz night, then drinks & dinner afterwards, that's alright then?
fume fume!
stupid man.
the rest of the world laughs at UK parents thanx to him & his pitiful wife!

I wish that just because the PJ have the weekend off, that the media dont just allow the McCann family to have full control over the weekend.

The amount of Pro stories by the McCanns today has been sickening. Lets see if next week doesnt shut them up!

I have to agree, this weekend has seen the PRO machine back in full force. Why are friends only now coming to their defence publicly and why haven't any of their close holiday friends spoken out to the media? They are witnesses and not suspects so they can comment.

To me this is just more evidence that compunds their Guilt.

None of their actions are consuistant with having genuinely lost theitr daughter...

What they try to say, the role they try to adopt is what they think an innocent cuople would do..but they are winging it, because they are not innocent. Because of that and all the lies that go with it they are obviously under a great deal of stress, the stress of killers who may get found out any minute.
I think its therefore entirly predictable that they make these PR c""k ups.

Innocent or Guilty....they certainly will become the most hated couple in Britain.

Apology.???...F"""K off you McWa"""kers
