The seasons are wonderful, colors and everything. The sky is nice and blue, clouds spotted in the sky. It also has a lot of green and open land. Parks are everywhere and it's easy to enjoy nature.

I like the sport teams in Michigan. My favorite Michigan teams are the Detroit Tigers, the Detroit Lions (who won their second game of the 2007 season today, the Detroit Pistons, Detroit Shock (2007 WNBA Eastern Conference Champions), and the Detroit Red Wings.

My fav thing about Michigan is its variety-from 5 great lakes,4 seasons with fall colors as a highlight (but i hate winter!), natural winter events without snow blowers (ice skating/ice fishing/hunting/skiing-i stick to skating!) a thriving parks and rec system on the state, county and local levels with the jewel of it all Belle Isle in Detroit-made by the folks who created Central Park in NY but done much better! Did I mention the cider mills and apple orchards?

I can show anyone at any given minute "where I live" by putting up my hand and pointing to a area
we have the Great Lakes all around us
it doesn't take very long to drive somewhere for totally different scenery and perspective
I say I live near Detroit and no questions "where's Detroit"?
the 4 Seasons changing/emerging are exciting to see

South Lyon, and Detroit is a great sports town. Sporting News ranked us #1.

there isnt huge metropolises like phoenix..... the large cities are few and somehwat spaced out from one anopther
there are so many diff places to see... the upper peninsular (up) is like a whole other country.. it is amazing how many beautiful places michigan has.. mackinac island, history of diff parts of the states, the lakes, we actually have woods and trees and grass all over.. soem places they are rare to see
and i live here so maybe i am partial....

I grew up there and I now live in Texas
but i sure would like to go back and see some snow and build a fire
