Back, definantly! I want to find out for myself the outcome of life and the world.

I can't decide because either one would be great. In the future you can see the what would happen to the people you care about and the state of affairs in the world. You would probably be able to glimpse a society which would hopeful be without disease or crime. And you would be able to glimpse what we are striving for. Also the technology would probably be freaking amazing. Not to meant, in the future we might find out other sources of life outside the Milky Way. But on the other hand, if you chose the past you could see history in the making. You could relive the moments of glory like the Revolutionary War, the fall of Troy and the 1st circumnavigation of the world. You could experience the life styles of the Roman's and the elite society of London who we base many styles of life off out like Ionic and Corinthian columns and Victorian decor. And to meet people like Queen Elizabeth, Da Vinci, Genghis Khan, Napoleon, etc

I'd much rather travel to the past; after all, history holds the answers to everything we ponder over today. It is a hundred times more interesting. The future is just something we've yet to do, and being completely honest, I'm kind of scared to see what lies ahead!

well, hypothetically we can travel back, not forwards because what separates us from the future is a few seconds. Traveling back, we have documents, monuments, scriptures, records of the past etc. In addition, because the the future is only seconds apart, we are also separated by a few seconds from the past. I just typed this in minutes, and I have thought of this answer(what i've done is in the past, a few minutes ago)

I'd rather stay here. This is your life. Now. Why would you want to travel to a different part?

Forward...by at least 10,000 years.

Even if we could go back and change the past, the false assumption is that life would be better now. Life could stay the or, be WORSE.

While I love ancient civilizations and architecture, life back then was not very pleasant.

why would you do either one life is about not knowing and a person is defined in the times of crisis or happiness what fun would the future be if you already have seen what is come. we are making the future as we read and type right now , i guess the future is what you make of it.

Just before our 20 year young son died, he kept saying:
The past is history
The future is a mystery
the present is a gift

I would prefer to live in the present.

If you travelled fast enough, you'd be back before you
left, so both.

well i'd like to go forward just to see if humankind survives itself. otherwise, i'd rather go back and meet some famous people!
