The only thing developing nations can think about are trade route and whom can claim this area.
Why are we not astounded by the fact that the ice is melting..

Is certainly depressing news for our planet.
We should join forces to reverse this from continuing to happen.!

Thoughts?

I look at it this way. We should try to do all we can to stop and/or reverse global warming. But if we are too late, why not make claims that are beneficial to your own nation and economy?

Remember, hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

And on another sidenote, I gotta give kudos for the bravery of the use and name of your avatar.

others feel your pain.... buuuuuuuut the reason it seems that that's all people can think about is because everyone in control of the media in America only deals with making money it's a business not really a source of news. In order to reverse global warming a lot of companies worth a lot of money would have to reverse there procedures and some would flat out be wiped out of existence, sadly we're not willing to do that ourselves and our government which has become puppets of these companies aren't willing to do so either.

Sadly there's very little you can do about it on a large scale unless you're a physicist chemist etc and invent a cheap convenient way to harness solar energy.

Do you actually think there is something that human beings can do to stop the ice from melting? Sometimes the arrogance of our species absolutely overwhelms me. When it comes to the Earth, we are the fleas on the back of the planet. Climate change is cyclical. For the past twenty years the intensity and frequency of solar activity has increased. Global warming, in the form of melting polar caps, is even happening on Mars! And there isn't one thing we can do about that either.

It may be melting in the arctic. But it's growing in the antarctic. Do some research. The earth has cycles. When it's warmer in one place, it's usually cooler in another.
So if you're getting at "global warming", it's cyclical. You can find just as many, if not more, scientists and meteorologists that say it's cycles, as say it's permanant.
It's not as "depressing" as you say. If you really feel that way, I'd suggest seeing a Dr and getting a prescription for a good "happy pill"

yeah i agree that it's pretty crappy that they are making it sound like a good thing. but money makes the world go round. it's not going to stop until stopping global warming is profitable.
