The answer is, no. Many of the top ranking officials, especially Congressmen, are immune to many of the laws that are in place. Therefore, the only court that can possibly even try many of them is the Federal Supreme Court. And the Senate is the one that has to push for the trial in the first place.

It depends which state you are in and the legal grounds accepted for a citizen's arrest. Some states and local governments have eliminated the arrest by citizens.(because we are moving more to a police state and officials will make the decisions for you and me)

No one is immune from the law. according to our constitution. No man/woman of power is above the law. but lots of luck trying to make a citizens arrest stick on a a gov official. You can place them on arrest if you have physical evidence on them to prove other wise. but be full warned you can be sued for false accusing some one with out proof.

In most states and the District of Columbia it can only be done for a felony crime. Failure to prove the elements of the crime in court could subject you to civil action by the party you performed the citizen's arrest on.

And if the Supreme Court is the only Judicial body that could try a Senator, why did he plead guilty to anything?

I wouldn't suggest trying, they all have body guards and you'd end up looking like a fool on national television.

Sadly, only if you actually WITNESS them committing a crime. And you can only hold them until the police arrive, or deliver them to a police station.

legally, in many cases, I believe it could but in a practical sense, it wouldn't work.
