"All Along The Watchtower" by Jimi Hendrix. That's a genius song. Bob Dylan's version was good, but Jimi Hendrix basically made it into his own song. The only thing that is really the same are the lyrics.

I hate to say it, because I bet a bunch of others have already said it, but it's "All Along the Watchtower" as covered by Hendrix. Dylan's version is damn near perfect. The Hendrix version is...sublime.
