500mL AgNO3 + 500mL NaCl = 1000mL total solution.

[AgNO3] = [Ag+] = 0.01M = 1 x 10^-2 (It got diluted by half)

[NaCl] = [Cl-] = 0.0005 = 5 x 10^-4 (Ditto)

(1 x 10^-2)(5 x 10^-4) = 5 x 10^-6

Yes, precipitation occurs, because 5 x 10^-6 is greater than 1.8 x 10^-10, and so it exceeds thesolubility product.
