i Just installed a new cd burner to my computer. i made sure all the cables were properly installed and when i check "my computer", it shows that its there. but when i try to burn some songs to a cd using the program it came with, it wont show the driver, it only shows the original one that reads cds. im using nero, and i heard that might be it. its a "Memorex 18x Multi Format DVD Recorder" if its the driver, where do i download it. help please

Sounds Like You Haven't Installed The Drivers. If You Didn't Go To The NManufacturers Website And Download Them. Good Luck!

If it's an OEM version of nero (just the one that came with the drive) then it may not have full functionality. Go to nero's website and download the latest update and install it.

Go to the manufactures web site, and look for the update drivers. Download them and install to your computer.

just search the driver at google try nero or the name of your burner, but before you do that try using a different disk first or try using windows xp burning software some windows already have this software installed

Open "My Computer"
Right-click on the CD/DVD drive
Select "Properties" from the menu
Click on the "Recording" Tab
Make sure the "Enable recording on this drive" box is checked.
Windows isn't always smart enough to check that box when you have multiple drives, or add a new drive.
