These bikes are muxch faster than 4 strokes. In acceleration anyways. They dont have as much torque but have the speed. Keep it in its powerband,or it will feel funny. Mix the gas. Carry an extra plug. Just because u mixthe gas doesnt mean that no oil goes in the bikes tranny, u need it there too. Carry an extra plug. Dont let it run dry. Clean the air cleaner normaly. The bikes arent so great for woods riding but much better any were else. Great for wheelies. A honda 125 is a great bike if u can handle it. Very fast. Dont get an 80 you will out grow it quick. Have fun.

Honda cr 125 is a great bike but i would highly recommend a cr 80 .Only because you are new into 2 strokes and seem to be at a young age.not trying to scare you but a cr 125 is vary powerful for a dirt bike .it is tall easy to loose control if you don't know how to ride it you could get seriousely hurt.the cr 80 is realy a good beginers bike after a while you could move up to a cr 125.you will need extra spark plugs if you mix the fuel to rich the spark plug will foul need to be changed.you need a mixing cup,2cycle oil to mix with the gas, helmet, gogles, gloves,i would bring a tool box.they have some programs class for begener riders ask delarship.

Change the gearbox oil a couple times a year, throw new rings in it a couple times a year, keep the air filter clean, use premium gas, don't forget to mix the gas, keep the bike in the powerband, always carry an extra plug, and remember to have fun.

Most important thing is the air cleaner.
It's the last line of defense against fine particles of dust and dirt.
If anything gets into the cylinder, it acts like sand paper and wares out your cylinder nothing flat.
After each ride - check the air cleaner and clean/lube if necessary.

How to get used to them? ride them. Nothing special otherwise needs to be known except that 2 have an oil tank to check for fuel as well. Never let it run dry, or bye bye engine.

get a 4-stroke, you can get a green sticker for it.
2-strokes are red sticker bikes which meas you can only ride them duing certain times of the year while a green sticker bike you can ride year round.
try a CRF450 R/X both are good bikes with lots of power.

you have to ride a two stroke like you stole it.
they run best when they are in their power band
this is usually in the mid to upper rpm range.
carry an extra plug, they will foul. and when they
foul they are scrap..
loud exaust does not make a two stroke run better,, they work on back pressure.

Get a repair manual and start reading it, memorize it....because you will be working on it.(it's not as bad as it sounds).
You want to know your bike inside and out and how to make it faster.
